Add-ons let you go beyond the lean base workspace. There are two kinds: compute (extra vCPU / RAM / disk) and org-wide storage (backup & log retention).

Compute add-ons

The base workspace is ½ vCPU / 512 MiB / 500 MiB disk. You can add capacity in fixed units: How you buy compute differs by billing mode:
Buy extra shared-pool capacity on the Monthly tab — +2 vCPU or +1 GiB RAM blocks at $5.99/mo each, billed on your card as a subscription line item. This raises your org’s shared pool. Individual workspaces then draw extra CPU/RAM from that purchased pool as a free fine-grained allocation — you allocate in ½-vCPU and 0.25-GB steps per task, up to what you’ve bought.
Per-task allocation is fine-grained. From your purchased pool you can allocate vCPU in ½-vCPU steps (½, 1, 1.5, 2 …) and RAM in 0.25-GB steps, so one purchase can be shared across several tasks. Allocation is freed when the task closes.

Backup storage & log retention

A single org-wide subscription — not per workspace:
  • 1.99/mo∗∗,includes∗∗2.5GiB∗∗ofcheckpointstorage,then∗∗1.99 / mo**, includes **2.5 GiB** of checkpoint storage, then **0.50 / GiB / mo.
  • Keeps checkpoints even after a pod is deleted, and retains all console logs (no last-10 / 10 MB cap), offloaded to your object store.
  • Deducted from the wallet (pay-per-use) or billed on the card (monthly), and renews monthly while active.

Web IDE seats

The Web IDE is a heavier workspace (1 vCPU / 1 GiB / 1 GiB) and counts against your plan’s IDE limit (Pro: up to 3, Team: up to 6, all within the shared pool). Enable it per task with the Web IDE toggle. See Web IDE.

What you’ll be charged

Add-on charges are itemized on your Stripe invoice (monthly) or your wallet ledger (pay-per-use), so every line — plan, seats, pool capacity, backup — is visible and separate.
